Where Events Create Community

Tucked into the heart of Habersham, Village Social is more than just an event venue—it’s a place where people come together, ideas are shared, and memories are made. Founded by longtime resident and creative powerhouse Stephanie Smalley, Village Social was designed with connection in mind. Our mission is simple: to offer an intimate, thoughtfully curated space that turns gatherings into unforgettable experiences.

At Village Social, we specialize in hosting a wide range of events—from personal celebrations like bridal showers, birthdays, and engagement parties to professional gatherings such as corporate lunches, presentations, and creative showcases. We’re also proud to offer daily venue rentals for art exhibits, book signings, trunk shows, and more.

But what truly sets us apart? We’re not just handing you the keys to a blank space. Village Social offers a full-service experience, including event planning, decorating, catering coordination, and design support. Whether you're dreaming up a cozy celebration or a polished professional event, we’ll bring it to life—seamlessly, stylishly, and stress-free.

We also love giving back to the community that inspires us. Our signature House Events bring guest creatives, instructors, and professionals to Village Social for public workshops, hands-on classes, and fun activities. It’s all part of our belief that when we gather with intention, we build something bigger than a single event—we build community.

Meet Stephanie & David

Village Social is the passion project of Habersham resident Stephanie Smalley, a creative force with a BFA in Interior Design and over 30 years of experience in design, event planning, and project management. From transforming spaces to curating unforgettable experiences, Stephanie blends artistry and precision in everything she does.

Her husband and business partner, David Graysmith, is the Business Manager of Village Social. A school psychologist by profession, David brings a calm, strategic touch to operations—handling logistics and planning to keep things running smoothly.

Together, Stephanie and David have built Village Social as a true family venture, grounded in creativity, community, and connection.

Meet Caroline Flagg-Gary

We are honored to partner with local talent Caroline Flagg-Gary to provide fresh, creative floral arrangements for private events, our in-house events, and custom special orders. A retired teacher with a lifelong passion for plants, Caroline brings heart, beauty, and a deep connection to the community in everything she does.

She and her husband, the beloved Alber “Lug” Gary — head of the Habersham Grounds Crew — are true Habersham treasures. Together, they grow many of their own blooms and have filled countless weddings, church services, and special gatherings with Caroline’s signature floral magic.

Stop by Village Social to view our weekly house arrangement, or place a custom order for pickup the following week. For large events, be sure to call ahead and schedule a consultation with Caroline — her flowers are as in-demand as they are beautiful!
